Mentorship Program
Change the world, be a mentor!
As part of our commitment to the industry, AAF Orlando facilitates a mentor program in which we pair younger ad professionals or students with more experienced veterans and begin a relationship in which both can grow and help each other navigate their careers and their lives. Please consider volunteering to be a mentor and help inspire our students and young professionals. Click the mentor button at the bottom of this page, hit next and fill out the form. Your future mentee thanks you.
Mentor Expectations
- Set a concrete goal with your mentee
- Help your mentee outline a plan to meet their goal
- Be accessible and helpful
- Set a meeting schedule with your mentee that works with your schedules
- Meet at least 3 times throughout the quarter

Example Goals:
- Perfect my resume – or help build it
- Improve my portfolio
- Learn more about a particular job/field
- Learn about transitioning to a new job/field
- Figure out if a particular job/field is right for me
- Write an awesome cover letter
- Sharpen interview skills
- Network
- Find an internship or job
- Learn a new technical skill
Examples of Meetings/Ways to Help:
- Have your mentee shadow you at work
- Refer your mentees to friends or coworkers that may be able to provide additional feedback/mentoring/networking opportunities
- Help your mentee research applicable internships/jobs
- Have a mock interview
- Share interesting industry articles/sites/books with your mentee
- Share a favorite project you’ve worked on
- Help them learn a new technical skill
