Calling all freelance Camera Operators! Adrenaline Films is looking to expand our freelance roster in our production department. We are searching for knowledgeable and experienced cinematographers who are willing to work as freelancers and be staffed on an as-needed basis. This position will primarily work on local productions, but could potentially require travel for week-long productions out-of-state. This is not a salaried staff position. You will be contacted if necessary, but work is not guaranteed. Please submit a resume and demo reel and/or portfolio to be considered.

Opportunity Overview:
At Adrenaline Films, our Camera Operators are one of the key components of telling our client’s stories. As a freelance Camera Operator, you will be tasked with being on the “front lines” of productions by advising, creating, and capturing the visual aspects of the client’s vision using state-of-the-art camera, lighting, and grip equipment.
Potential Responsibilities:
- Operate a wide variety of cameras, lighting, and grip equipment (including, but not limited to, the equipment listed below) on location and at Adrenaline’s studio facilities.
- Construct various interviews, scenes, and lighting setups to achieve the visual goal of the client for a variety of projects, including but not limited to commercials, episodic series, documentaries, social media, corporate, live streams, events, etc.
- Demonstrate complex knowledge of composition, theory, and technical skills associated with camera and lighting.
Skills & Expectations:
- Technical Skills: Advanced understanding of camera specs, resolution, frame rate, color space, color temperature, ISO, shutter, iris (F-stop), and lighting.
- Camera Equipment: Operating knowledge of the following cameras: Alexa Mini LF, Sony Fx9, Fs7, Fx3, A7sIII, RED Epic X and Epic Dragon, Blackmagic URSA Broadcast G2, and the GoPro series.
- Lighting Equipment: Operating knowledge of the following lighting equipment: Arri S60 SkyPanel, Astra Lightpanel Series, Apurture 300-600 Series, Kino Flo Series, Arri Fresnel Series, Dedolight Fresnels, Lekos, Joker 400-800, etc.
- Grip Equipment: Intermediate understanding of how to set up diffusion frames, camera dolly, c-stands, combo stands, basic electric, bounce boards, etc.
- Communication Skills: The ability to effectively interact both verbally and written with production managers and clients.
- Strong Work Ethic: Show up to shoots on time and with a positive, ambitious attitude and see tasks through to completion.
- Flexibility: Working hours will vary and may often involve weekends or evenings depending on the production; a flexible schedule is necessary for this position.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience as a professional camera operator
- Operating knowledge of camera, lighting, and grip equipment
